This year we are proud to announce that not only are we continuing to sponsor David Ellard but we are also sponsoring our first round draft pick from WA, Kane Lucas. Both being drafted from WA we hope to see them running out in the Navy Blue jumper in 2010.
David Ellard
We have sponsored David since he was drafted by Carlton in the 2007 Rookie draft as a third round selection. He was drafted from Swan Districts. He made his debut for Carlton in 2008 at Subiaco against the Eagles, a game in which we duly won, and one that David kicked a goal on debut. We continue to wish him all the best in 2010, a year in which he hopefully makes a real name for himself.
Kane Lucas
We are proud to be able to sponsor Kane for the first time in 2010. Kane was Carltons first round pick, 12th overall, and hails from East Fremantle. He is described as a hard-running and highly-skilled player who likes to run and carry. Speed, awareness and ball winning ability are all features. WA U18 representative in 2009, earning All-Australian honours as a medium forward. We of course wish him every success in 2010 and for many more seasons as a Navy Blue.
